Wendover Will Welcomed Me...

I ended up having an amazing birthday... Tony and Hayden gave me a Scentsy burner and a couple of scents which smell AMAZING and book 3 and 4 in the Twilight Series. They also got me the movie "Seven Pounds" but the best thing was my adult (relaxing) getaway night in Wendover with our GREAT friends Crystal and Mike... While Hayden had the best weekend being spoiled by Grammy and Grampy...

A boy and his duck

What a beautiful spring day yesterday... During the day Hayden and I worked out in the yard... Well I worked and he played and since it was still so nice when Tony got off of work we took a little walk on the Jordan Trail which is right by our house.. He walked right up to the duck and asked "Hi Quack Quack how you?" He's such a cutie...

So this weekend is my birthday... And so far for my birthday week I have been pampered... Sunday I had a 2 hour massage... Yesterday as part of a birthday gift I had my hair colored (pics will come soon) THANK YOU BUGA... And today I had my nails done... But so far my favorite gift happened while I was doing my nails tonight... I get home and Hayden's eating a cookie... I ask Hayden "Did Daddy give you a cookie?" Tony then says "Yeah let me show you why he got a cookie" I follow him into the bathroom and apparently Hayden, out of the blue told daddy "Hayden go potty... Come on daddy come on, Hayden go potty" Tony sat him down in his potty and went... I was just trying to figure out how to begin potty training and Hayden goes and does this... Being a mom is the best thing in the world... This is the best birthday ever... I think he's telling me he's finally ready... Man I'm so happy right now... After his bath I took these pics of him and his potty...

4:30 Again???

Its become routine... Every morning for the past couple weeks at 4:30 Hayden wakes up... Now the first week or so it was cute only because when I go in to check on him he say's "Mommy nuggle" and pats his pillow... I love the fact that he wants to snuggle but not at 4:30 in the morning... I don't know how to get him to sleep through the night again... Man I miss those nights...

Weak

So Hayden had his first dentist appt yesterday... Back in October it looked like he was beginning to get a cavity but with all the hospital and doctors visits trying to get him better his teeth had to take a back seat... Well come to find out Hayden has very weak enamel and its something we really can't fix... So he is very susceptible to teeth problems... Poor guy can't catch a break... Enamel is formed during the first couple months of pregnancy I found out,... So anyways in order to fill his cavities he'll have to be knocked out because of his age... I'll keep you updated...

On a side note... As many of you know I AM NOT a reader... My mom had to literaly force me to do it while in school... Just hasn't been my thing... Well I (along with a million others) begain reading the Twilight books ... I just finished Twilight (book #1 in the series) and all I can say is, I'M HOOKED!!!! I just started book #2 New Moon this weekend... I can see myself actually reading these books more than just the one time... I'm so excited...

Side note #2... We are doing our first school fundraiser!!! Hayden's Pre School is having a fundraiser for a new playground... Right now all I know is that it's cookie dough.. More info will be coming soon...

Spring has sprung !!!!

Happy St. Patty's Day !!! And what a beautiful day for it... Hayden and I ran some errands today and didn't even need a jacket... I really hope that Spring has sprung... I've even got the windows in the house open having the fresh air come in... Man I'm happy!!!!! But on the flip side this is the time for Spring Cleaning... All of a sudden you notice the areas of the house you neglect over the cold months... And don't even get me started on yard work.. If there were only more hours in a day...
Anyways things are going well around here.. Since Hayden's start on the asthma inhaler the cough went away immediately and he hasn't gotten sick yet... I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am about this... It has been almost a year all this began and its a much needed break for the 3 of us...
Well I'm going to go enjoy the sunshine and spring breeze !!!!!!

Back to the Allergist...

My second post... Look at me go... Anyways Hayden and I had our follow up today from the wonderful allergy skin tests we had done a month ago (sense the sarcasim when I said wonderful???) Things went well today, the Doc just asked how we were doing on our allergy medication and how we were feeling.. Now Hayden's been fighting yet another cold for the last couple days so I informed the doc that and he told me that a child of his age with his types of allergies has an 80% chance of also having asthma... And the number could be greater if a parent (me) also has sever allergies and asthma... So we are now both on an asthma inhaler on top of our allergy meds... Poor guy, I'm sorry honey!!!!

Now for those of you who are wondering why we went BACK to the allergist heres the story...

Hayden's been sick now for almost a full year... He's had around 12 sinus infections, a fever seizure and numerous ER and Doc visits... Now he's only had 2 ear infections (1 per ear) so no he doesn't need or has Tubes in his ears... Since alot of kids his age have if they've been this sick... Finally his Pediatrician said "see an allergist"... Now when I was 18 I was diagnosed with asthma and allergies and was recommended to do the testing (the skin test) well I was scared and decided not to go through it... Well once they told me to take Hayden I thought I would do it as well to..... 1. Finally find out what I was allergic to and 2. If Hayden saw me do it maybe it wouldn't be such a fight for him to... So we did. If you don't know how they test for something like that I'll tell ya... For an adult they map out your back with a marker and 45 small dots and with those 45 dots they put serum of the actual tree, weed, pollen, animal, ect, ect on that dot and then take this tool and break the first layer of skin so that serum goes into it... And like Chinese torture you lay there (not able to scratch) for 20 minutes to see what you are allergic too.. Hayden had 15 of these dots cause they do a childs skin test different than an adults (picture below). Now to find out how you are allergic is dependant on the size of welt you get around that dot.. Its scaled 1-4.... 1 being not allergic and 4 being severe.... Well I came back with all 4's pretty much except I'm not allergic to feather so I could have a bird if I wanted (Yippie !!!) Hayden was all 2's so mid allergic ... Being that I'm as bad as I am they think that as Hayden gets older he may become like me... And this is why we went to the allergist... Now other than this small cold he's fighting he hasn't been sick since so I really hope we have finally found the colprit... This is Hayden's back from the skin test.
