Goodbye 2009... Hello New Year !!!

We ended up finishing 2009 on a high note... But like so many people I am glad to see the year come to an end and looking forward to a new fresh start with 2010...

After Hayden's birthday we decided to get our little man "a big boy bed"... He had outgrown his toddler bed and with his surgery coming up we wanted him as comfortable as possible... It had started with just finding a twin bed but after coming across the bunk beds we just couldn't pass them up... He's just growning up so fast...

Another fun thing we did to finish off the year was made our first family gingerbread train... Tony and I had never done one before so we didn't know what we were up against... Though it was fun I dont know if it will be a yearly tradition type thing... Ha Ha Ha

This year we did start a new tradition with our closest friends by doing a "Friends Christmas Dinner"... With the current economic times causing our own stuggles we realized the true meaning of christmas and decided that instead of gifts we would just get together for a nice dinner and just spend time with one another... It was so much fun and I'm really looking forward to the memories it will create... We really have some amazing wonderful friends... We love you guys so much and we are so happy you are in our lives...

This Christmas was seriously the funniest Christmas Tony and I have both had... With Hayden finally understanding Santa and the holiday it was so fun seeing the excitement through his eyes... Tony never being the holiday person like myself finally got into the spirit and made it that much more fun for me!!! We of course went and visited Santa and Hayden loved it... All he asked Santa for was a Candy Cane... Thats right a candy cane... Though he would call Santa from time to time with new gift ideas or to tell him if Tony and I were being bad... He makes us laugh...

Sunday after Christmas Grammy and Grampy took Hayden and myself to see "Alvin and the Chipmunks the squeakquel" and the lights at Temple Square... Though it was freezing cold we bundled up like crazy and took the train downtown for our fun night... Thanks guys!!!

We ended the year with a small get together to watch the ball drop and ring in 2010... The kids had so much fun and we (the adults) did too... It was a great way to get rid of 2009 and bring in the new year...

I really have high hopes for this year!!! I can't wait to see what it has to offer!!! I hope to make the best of it!!!
